Privacy Policy
Parallel Scroller is a Chrome extension for synchronizing scrolling between two browser tabs. This policy explains what data the extension processes and how it is stored.
Data the extension processes
- Selected tab IDs and basic tab metadata needed to link two tabs
- Current scroll positions and scroll progress values used for synchronization
- Extension settings such as sync mode, offset, pause state, and overlay visibility
- Heading text and heading levels from linked pages when the SEO comparison is used
How data is stored
Linked tab metadata and sync settings are stored locally in Chrome storage so the extension can keep the control workflow stable. The extension does not ask for account credentials or payment information.
How data is used and shared
Data is used only to link tabs, synchronize scrolling, show the page overlay, reload linked tabs, match window sizes, and compare heading structure. The extension does not send page data to external servers.
Host permissions
The extension requests broad host access because synchronized scrolling and heading comparison need content scripts on the regular web pages the user chooses to compare. The extension cannot run on Chrome internal pages.
No sale or advertising use
The extension does not sell personal data, does not use data for advertising, and does not send data to analytics or tracking providers.
